This is about fridges, but not in a beermaking context... just regular kitchen use.
Say you have a choice between a affordable used fridge, a few years old, OR a new or very recent fridge.
Will the energy savings of the new (or newish) unit outweight the bargain that the used unit was over time?
One could rephrase question as: Are today's units that much more efficient that, say, 5-7 yrs old ones..?
(Note; we are discounting some silly things like ice-makers or cold water tap, here)
