Off to Germany again. This time flying into Frankfurt today and driving down to Garmisch on Monday. I'll miss the Superbowl, but I think I'll make up for it with some good German brews. I brought my camera so I can post beer porn ya'll

Prost!

Cool Ed! I dig when you post pics from your jaunts to the land of malts and hops! I'm major league jealous, but they're great! :rockin:

Have a safe trip! :mug:

Garmisch-Partenkirchen(sp)?When i was 12 i learned to ski there. The big castle on the border in the mountains too(i forget the name but it was the one in Chitty-chitty bang-bang(movie)I think.35+ yrs ago and i still have vivid memories.I envy you your travels,Ed.As much as a football fan that i am,i would still gladly skip the game for a trip to Deutschland!
Speaking of old memories,i remember that my Dad had his beer delivered a couple times a week by the beer man.You put this cardboard sign thing in your front window, and that would tell the guy what you wanted, and your beer(and soft drinks if you wanted) would be put on the doorstep where he took the empties(flip-tops).
Exactly like the old time milk-man with the glass bottles. What a cool thing.
Have a safe trip.
Cheers:mug:

I'll have to change the thread title. SWMBO and I are checked into the Heidelberg Marriott and they have a big screen (must be illegal) setup and the game goes on at 11:30 PM tonight. Pils & the Superbowl if I can stay awake!

Go Bears!

Off to Garmisch in the morning.

12:25pm tonight ;) parties everywhere in Baumholder in the on-post housing. 11:30 pre-game. I'm working some Paulaner's from the gas station right now, in preparation.
