I always have a few projects on my list that I progress along bit by bit.
They are in various stages

• Thought and osmosis
• Serious Research
• Gaining practical experience and skills required
• Ready to go (Just need to implement it)
• Completed and in progress

Tonight the bee keeping goes to step 2/3.
I'm attending a local meeting of the British Beekeepers Association.

I'm assuming in a public greenspace or something like that, right? Might be a little tight in the back 40 there...

I don't know yet.

That's what I hope to find out tonight.

From what I've heard, all you need is a few square feet for the hive, and easy access for the bees to get in and out. This is 3rd hand knowledge. Personally, I'd love to have that much honey.

One of your projects that I believe is in Stage 5... How are those chickens working out? Good eggs? Good chicken curry?

The footprint of the hive is very small, but the bees will travel a mile and a half in all directions........

I'm learning the bees are not the problem and will not cause a problem. It's uneducated or ignorant people.

Good luck and have fun. My dad had bees, and so I kind of had them too. We had five hives going at the peak, and the honey was delicious.
