Hi Everyone, I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm from Tallahassee, FL, soon to be Orlando. I've been researching home brewing for the past week and am interested in giving it a shot. I'll probably start getting the equipment next month after I move. It sounds like a fun hobby, and I hope to learn from everyone here. Nice to meet you all.

Fun? No. Not fun. What is fun about getting to make beer to your taste, when you want and for a lot less $$$. It is not fun. Not fun having dozens of different homebrews sitting in you cellar or in your fridge.

Seriously (and this is unusual), it is a good hobby and my advice to you is just to read up a little, post a couple of questions if you are not sure on anything. But the main thing to do is just to dive in and make a brew. It will be fantastic and you will learn a lot from it.

Thanks Dibby. I plan to purchase a copy of The Complete Joy of Homebrewing. That seems to be the most recommended book.

Welcome to HBT!:mug:
Sounds like you are on the right track to making good beer. Do your research while you are waiting and ask us questions when you don't understand something.
We will get you addicted in no time. :rockin:

Hey Reagan, you and I appear to be in the same boat. You've got about week on me, though. :mug: I picked up a book today called "The Brewmaster's Bible - The Gold Standard for Home Brewers ". I'm about to start on it. Any pointers you all you experienced home brewers want to give would be appreciated. :tank:

Dibby's right. Ask all the questions you can think of and then dive right in. Have some fun with it, and RDWHAHB.
