First batch switched to secondary and a second batch in primary. While moving the bucket with the first batch in position to transfer, some of the vodka in the air lock back flowed in to the beer. Will this hurt the beer? Also, I thought I read somewhere that keeping a spray bottle with star-san in it to spray and prevent boil overs is a good thing. That true or will spraying star-san on it mess the beer up? And the biggest newb question of all....Im a bit unclear...is star-san no rinse?

I fill the airlock with either vodka or starsan, and have had both go into the fermenter and it ruins the batch.

Star san is a no rinse cleanser.

Also, I think you want just a regular spray bottle with water to prevent boilovers.

I have had vodka drain into my beer a few times now and have never noticed any issues.

Hope this helps! :mug:
