I have been brewing All Grain for a while and am comfortable with the process and technique. I am looking to start formulating my own recipes and was looking for some advice, tips, etc. does anyone have any good books or articles on creating recipes?

Designing great recipes by Ray Daniels and brewing classic styles by Jamil Zainesheff are great for learning about recipes and formulation.

It also pays to understand the characteristics if the individual grains and hops which can be accomplished by going to the maltster's websites and also brewing SMaSH beers-single malt, single hop in smaller batches

use the recipe database here to look at recipes for that style and get an idea of what others use for that style

in general less is more and you'll learn more about the impact of each ingredient better with a simpler recipe
