Hey I am looking at breaking into electric brewing and my question is, how important are the kettles for this? Does quality matter when it is electric heated? Or should I look at saving more money up to get the blichmans I drool over. Any help is good help! Thanks

Some of us use keggles, some use nice Blichmans, some use bayou classics... hell, some seem to use a plastic bucket despite suggestions otherwise. Get the pot that gets you brewing.

Thanks for your input! I think I'm gonna go cheap on the kettles for now but get the guts how I want then then improve!

This is kind of what I am thinking. I want to build a recirculating eBIAB system and am thinking about starting at a three gallon capacity because I like brewing a lot. I figure if I want I can add another element and get a bigger kettle later if I want.

Exactly. The brew you make today on your half sized, not quite perfect setup will taste WAY better than the brew you don't make because you're sitting around waiting for the perfect solution to come to you. Even if you bought a gold plated 1bbl setup today, you'd find yourself upgrading it in a few months anyways - it's the way of the homebrewer.
