So I am without heat and waiting for a quote for a replacement boiler and water heater while were at it. The boiler is about 30 yrs old and the water heater is 16. First thought, how can I use this for brewing?

I am going to have the plumber leave me with both so that I can cut them up and salvage what I can. NG burners, maybe a tank or two, maybe some valves and controls?

Anyone else do this, can I expect to get anything good or is it not worth the trouble.

the burner, but that old, may be gone. i use a cast iron 100k btu from a 100 gallon boiler under a year old when it got thrown out. works great. the standard issue 30 gal burners are about 30k and can be used for 10 gallons full boils, but more oomph is better (faster and more vigorous boil)
