I ordered my homebrew kit from midwest and its on its way, it should get here wed. I got the irish red ale recipe kit as well, any pointers on how to make the kit come out better, or should i just follow the directions?

Thanks

I think the kits from Midwest have good instructions, and they would be fine to follow. The only thing I can think of that you might do differently is to add the majority of the extract with 15 minutes left in the boil, instead of at the beginning, if you feel that it may be darker than what you would like. If you do that, though, you may want to adjust the hops as well.

Since I think Midwest has good kits with good instructions, though, I personallly wouldn't mess around with it.
