My one year old keezer kicked the bucket (the compressor runs 24/7) so I'm returning that to costco. I was given 2 freezer-over-fridge type refrigerators and I want to use one as a new kegerator.

Are there any pros/cons to having the faucets come through the door vs the side of the fridge? If it makes any difference it will be in my garage/shop.

My concerns are if the faucets are on the door the beer lines/shanks might knock over co2 bottles but I think that would be an easy issue to overcome.

If anyone has advice/experience/opinions on this I'd love to hear it.

Thanks in advance!

No issues through the doors. Tie the lines out of the way with enough slack to open and close the door! Sorry to hear about the keezer.

My faucets are on the door which is fine, but it limits the style of tap handle you can use because of the freezer door.
