Hello,
I'll be moving to the Bennington, VT - North Adams, MA area next month. Can somebody point me to a somewhat local home brew supply shop? I get the feeling that there aren't any very close. All that I can find are around 2 to 3 hours away.
I've been doing a lot of extract/specialty grain brews and would like to get started in all grain. I have three 1/2 barrel kegs that I am in the process of converting to HLT, Mash/Lauter Tun, and Kettle, and a turkey fryer for heat.

Hey, I live in Adams, MA, and grew up in Bennington. I can't remember what they call it now, but the old Smoker's Den (right across from the Deer Park on Rt. 7) has some homebrew supplies (extract, mostly) along with a PHENOMENAL selection of beer. I go over to Troy, to Hennessy Homebrew Emporium, for all of my stuff. There's another place in Northhampton, MA, but that's a bit more of a drive for you.

Let me know if you need directions to Hennessy, or anything else I can do to help you settle in. I'm still new at AG (three batches), but I'd be happy to give you a hand getting going if you'd like.

I live it Boston but I'm originally from the Springfield area of MA. I'd check out the place in Northampton. I get all my supplies in Boston but I always hear how great the Northampton location is supposed to be. Also, Northampton is just about the coolest place in the whole state. There's dozens of awesome restraunts, weird shops, and several music venues. Definatly check it out.

I second that on NoHo - a phenomenal place to spend an afternoon. Some VERY good bars / brewpups in the area, too, some of the best in the country (Moan and Dove in Amherst, for example).
