Greetings from Charlotte. I was a once/yr (maybe twice/yr) extract brewer back in the early 00's, with a dozen batches or so "back in the day". Dropped the hobby for 17 years(!) until this January, and have gotten back into it with 3 batches already since January, and another in the fermenter as of Sunday (and yet another for this coming weekend). I've transitioned to all-grain (BIAB) technique for the last couple of batches and have learned a lot from this and other sites. Because of equipment limitations, my all grain recipes are scaled back to 3-gallon batches - but that just means I get to brew more often, which I hope will improve my quality as I refine my techniques.

If anyone knows of home-brewing associations in my area, I'm interested.

Happy Brewing!
