I’m new to home brewing and have only done a few all grain batches (all 1 gallon) and I was wondering if I size up to 2 gallon batches if it’s possible to ferment the 2 gallons in 2 seperate one gallon fermenters? I want to do this because I would like 1 gallon of the original beer and 1 gallon with some fruit additions. Are there any things I need to be careful with when it comes to splitting a batch like this? Thanks so much!

No worries at all. Let 'er rip tater chip! That's quite common for people who brew 10 gallon batches. I would do it with my 5 gallon batches but then I'd end up having to get 2.5-3 gallon kegs (stupid expensive) and some 3 gallon carboys and I just don't have the room/budget for either. Cheers!
