ok just starting out. What do you think? Thinking of going electric herms.

A 14gal fermentor

I want to start with 5gal batches and don't want to out grow to soon.
Would/is it ok to ferment 5gal of wort in the 14gal fermentor?
I know I need a bunch more stuff but this is a start. Any other pots or fermentor to look at?

I have the same 15gal kettle for my 5 gal batches, love it. My boil off rate is quite high with it but doesnt bother me.

As for the fermenter, can’t see why a larger than required FV would cause any problems, i think only going too small would cause issues rather than too big.

At least with that setup you are all set for 10 gal batches too.
