Hi guys,

I just purchased a new CO2 tank off amazon the other day, I had it filled at a fire equipment company yesterday, tried it today and the valve is stuck, I get maybe an 8th of a turn if I turn the valve towards on or off, otherwise its stuck.

Is there any solution to this?

Thanks!

The 1/8 turn is probably just the free play. You need to turn past that. How much force/torque have you given it?

I have given it pretty much all I got, and I'm a pretty big guy, I then took an Irwin quick grip (clamps) and tried with that, still not budging trying to open the valve.

They should send u a diffrent tank and let u keep that one since u can't send it back full... than work on it and fix it and now u have 2 tanks(well that's at least what I did)lol

Yeah I contacted their customer service and said they would have tech support call back, assuming they will do that tomorrow. And yeah I cant find a way around this so maybe they will just send me a new one (I hope). But yeah its filled so your right, no shipping company will accept it, and I am not spending another dime to take it in again and have them release the CO2.

If you paid with a credit card, tell them to send you a new tank, or you'll back charge them.

The guys that filled it over tightened it. I would go back there and ask the what the hell?

In order to fill it you have to open it. The fill is the source of your issues.

You guys were right, I heard back from support and they told me to take it back to the fire equipment supply, brought it over on Friday and they fixed it and got it unstuck.
