Hi All,

i am just getting into the home brewing and am looking at purchasing a home brew kit or just buying a la cart to to get the equipment i need. Any suggestions one way or the other?

I have seen some Great all encompassing kits and some kits with HUGE holes (i.e. no brush for the carboy)

Personally we went with the Northern Brewer Deluxe Beer Starter Kit here.

They really thought of everything, though after bottling a few batches we promptly jumped ship to kegging. If we hadn't bottled first though we wouldn't know how EASY kegging is.

I would probably get an all inclusive kit. You will probably save money and many companies (Midwest, Northern Brewer, etc.) offer lots of options and upgrades.

Thanks Guys, I ended up with a kit from a local brewing supplier. I think a kit was the best way to go. I have since purchased all i need to switch AG brewing. I have one AG batch under my belt and am not looking back. This is a great hobby!
