I want some thoughts on if simcoe and nelson will go together well. I want the fruity uniqueness from nelson that I love and some dank earth like flavor and aroma unique to simcoe

5.5 g batch

11lb 2 row
5lb Red X malt
3oz midnight wheat for color adjustment

1oz chinook 60min
1oz each Nelson and Simcoe at 10 and flameout steep
1.5oz each for dry hop

Pacman yeast

1.070 OG
65 Ibu

7% abv

I did a rye IPA with nelson and simcoe that was nice. I had slightly more nelson than simcoe in the late additions, I think 50/50 would be a good mix. I had to look that Red X malt up, so it's a base malt that gives a red color? Have you worked with it before, and if so is it kind of Munich like?

I have a rye Ipa with nelson right now. Just dry hopped it a couple days ago. Just wanted to see how nelson and simcoe play together.

Red x is supposed to be somewhat similar to Munich 10 in a way. I'm doing a single malt amber ale with it this week.
