NEIPA botched?

So i was sampling my neipa with a turkey baster like i always do but since i split the bill in half because the grain bill was so large. I had to use a hose attched to the baster to reach the 4 gallon mark. I should have just used my syphon, being lazy i guess. Well needless to say i lost the hose in the bottom of my carbouy. It was clean and sanitized but im still worried i may have botched this batch. Is there hope it will be ok?

You say you attached a hose to it. Was the hose food-grade? If it was, and you said you did sanitize it, it should be ok. Food-grade means it won't be porous or have dye that will leach out.

Yah it was a clear food grade one.

I'd say potentially botched but not because of the lost submerged hose but more likely oxidizing it by opening up the top of the fermenter. You have to leave NEIPAs alone, protected.
