I am doing our family brewing business in the old wooden shed in our land. The once part-time business has now become a full-time family business.

We want a bigger building for brewing and storage. I am planning to build one next to the current shed. There has been an increase in the rise of industrial steel buildings in Ontario, which made me think that I could build a steel building for the storage. It would be cost effective and easily constructed.

I would like to know if there is any downside to constructing a steel building for the storage. I shouldn't be having any problem if I can control the humidity and temperature inside the steel structure.

I don't want to compromise on the quality of our beer. So, I am careful before I take the decision. I would appreciate your suggestion on building the steel storage building for my brewery.

Thank you.

i would think if you insulate the walls, it should be no different than a wood structure. If your not going to insulate it, you'll have some more temperature extremes.

I don't see why not assuming you insulate and control humidity just like with any other structure....

However, asking a question like this here is like a asking a family doctor how to repair a prolapsed heart valve. Kind of out of the pay range of most hobbyists here!
