I brewed up an Oatmeal Stout this weekend. I used a new fermenting bucket and the lid was not sealing tight. So after two days I have it fixed. Well I bought a new lid and put it on. However by the time I got it fixed most of the fermentation is done.

So, my question is... Do I need to worry about this? My thinking which is probably totally incorrect, is that the fermentation pushes all the oxygen out of the fermentation chamber. By replacing the lid, I just put a layer of oxygen (well I guess its 'general air' which is not all oxygen) back in on top.

Is this a bad thing, or should I just grab a cold one from the fridge and not worry about it?

Yep. No worries. In two days your fermentation is certainly not done. Any oxygen that could have been introduced will most certainly be removed by the slower fermentation.
