Hey guys, I've had a few issues with priming sugar measurements recently, so I vowed I wouldn't let it happen again, so I'm asking for help here before I bottle.

I plan on bottling THIS tomorrow (https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f69/lakefront-ipa-clone-ish-211810/)

My first thought is that this is an "India Pale Ale" on the Tastybrew (http://www.tastybrew.com/calculators/priming.html) priming sugar calculator, but I've assumed wrong in the past. Can anyone confirm that this is accurate? Thanks..

I just reference TastyBrew to double check the amount of priming sugar that was included w/ my kit from AHS.

IPA = 1.5 - 2.3; I choose median value of 1.9
Size 5.25gal.
Ferm term: 68

Results for dextrose = 2.9 oz

The included amount was 128g or 4.5, does that seem like a bit much ?

A carb level of 1.9 is pretty flat. I like my IPAs well carbed at like 2.5-2.7 volumes. I use 4-5 ounces for carbonating 5 gallons of beer, usually 5 ounces for an IPA.

Alright - thanks for the advice, I'll just roll w/ the 4.5oz they supplied, maybe I'll add an extra TBSP or two since I've got 5.25 gal.
