I have 10 brews under my belt. 8 have been kits 2 my own. I am having a brew day for my buddies this sat. i have a Rogue I2PA kit i need to brew. I figured this would be fun for my buddies since there is more to do since the hop addition are greater then other beers. My question is the kit came with 12 lbs ultralight malt extract, 2 oz Glacier (6.0 AA), 2 oz vanguard (4.4% AA), 1 oz sterling (6.0% AA), and a dry hop 1 oz cascade (6.0% AA).

I have an extra 1 oz of sterling 6.0% AA.

If you where to brew this is there any grains, adjuncts, or hop you would add? Or make a dogfish head style IPA with a continual addition of hops. I am just trying to make this brew day as much fun for everyone as possible.

Thanks

Alright well this is what i came up with. Let me know if it sounds like a good idea.

Wanted to add some mouth feel to the beer so i am going to add 8 oz carafoam. Since this needs to be mashed i will use 1 lb of 2-row. Also am thinking of adding 1 lb crystal 40 L to the mash. Mashing with 2 gallons.
Mash at low temp of 153 degrees for 60 min to get full conversion. ( i am new to mashing so if this isn't right please help)
sparge with 170 (using tea bag method then let sit in sparge water for 10 min).
Hop additions. Boiled with 5 gallons
1.0 oz glacier at 60 min
0.5 oz glacier at 50 min
0.5 oz vanguard at 45 min
0.5 oz glacier at 40 min
0.5 oz vanguard at 35 min
1.0 oz vanguard at 30 min
0.5 oz sterling at 25 min
0.5 oz sterling at 20 min
0.5 oz sterling at 15 min
0.5 oz sterling at 10 min

1.0 oz cascade for dry hopping.

1 tablet of Whirlfloc at 15 min
2 liter starter using white labs California ale WLP001
