NB Oval Abbey Brett Question

Since the yeast is a "trappist blend" with Brett, do you have to take the same precautions (i.e. different set of equipment) with this as you do with other brews with Brett to avoid contaminating all future brews with Brett?

Would very careful sanitation avoid any future problems?

Yes, same deal as any other Brett beer. Best practice would be to have a second set of post-boil equipment, tubing, bottling wand, fermenter, racking cane, thief, bottling bucket etc... I share fermenters between my funky and non-funky beers, but otherwise I just use my "old" equipment for sours. You can get away with using one set for both, but be extra careful with your sanitation (long soak in hot water and cleaner followed by a long soak in cold water and Star San or Iodophor).
