Your IBU calculation looks wrong; you're doing a 15-minute boil, but you have the hops in for 60 minutes.

If you don't mind me asking, why Northern Brewer instead of something like Hallertau or Tettnag? I've actually thought, if I like the first batch I brew, about trying one of the "C" hops for a domestic, citrusy flavor that I *think* might be complementary.

Good catch, I made the corrections. Promash defaults to 60 min boil and forgot to change it.

As far as using Northern Brewer hops, I took pieces from various recipes I found and the book ''Brew Classic European Beers At Home'' calls for NB for the Berliner Kindl Weisse Clone.

I think you're right about a citrusy hop working well with this style.

Thanks for the help. I used your recipe to create something very close for mine. I'm going to use slightly more wheat and mash lower.

Anyone have a review of how this came out?
