Hey all... Stumbled across this site while under going my extensive researching into brewing my first beer. Not sure why I didn't join sooner since it seems this place is just a wealth of knowledge.

I just finished drinking my first brew(wheat beer) that I kegged and dispensed from my Kegerator....Best invention ever by the way! After the first couple days of worrying if my brew is screwed up it all turned out fine....actually very delicious.

This is how proud I was...my current display pic on Facebook. haha... It may have landed me my current girl.:mug:

I'm currently about to rack my second brew into my secondary Ferm. So far so good. After this second batch though I'm not sure where I'll go. I really want to start putting together some clone recipes...but right now reading and finding out where to get all the correct ingredients is daunting to me. You guys have a go to place to shop online? or do you have to hit up multiple places?

anyway glad to be here

Whats up Canada..New Jersey here. Glad to see your beer came out ok. First brew and you have a kegerator already..Thats impressive. Unless you had the kegerator already! For recipes its a mixed bag. If your local home brew store carries a decent amount of ingredients than for the most part it is good to patronize local business. The problem is that online suppliers carry such a huge amount of stuff that you sometimes need to order from both. I call my local store and tell them my recipe and they tell me what they have..Sometimes I need to substitute hops or whatever. How are the local stores in Canada?

Welcome. Join up for the Canadian Brewers Group (click Groups on the menu above) and there is a good thread in there about where to buy brewing stuff.

consider myself joined...

That thread about local homebrew supplies is awesome.

I got most of my stuff, after my intial start up supplies I got from the US, from New Page 1. They are really fast with shipping, equipment costs are about on par with shipping from the US, but I was hoping it would be a little cheaper since I'm not shipping from the US. Not bad though...

I'm glad I found Homebrewersretail.com too...It's in Whitby! The city right next to mine!
