Other than some wine and beer that I'm bottle aging I'm running out of beer. I just put my last 18 Rye IPA 12 oz. bottles and my last 11 Hop Brown Ale 22 oz. bottles in the fridge.

I was already low when I brewed my last beer and the last one was a pilsner that I'm lagering. I didn't think before I brewed that beer that it would tie up my only freezer for 8 weeks. I still have 2 weeks to go on the lagered pilsner, so I may have to end up buying a few of my favorite microbrews.

Has anyone else had this problem before? How much homebrew do you typically keep on hand at any given time?

BTW this should make for a fun week of brewing. I'll be doing a 5 gal batch of a hop bomb IPA (60 min warrior addition) and a 5 gal batch of peppermint chocolate stout in one day and a week later I'll be brewing another 5 gallon batch just to get my bottles filled. I still have no idea what I want to do for the third batch though. Any ideas?
 
Yup, I hadn't brewed in a couple of months due to work, family, etc, etc. I had a couple of friends of for cards and they emptied my both of my remaining kegs. Probably about 2-3 gallons. Gotta keep the pipeline full.
 
I currently have 2 batches that are ready to drink, 2 batches that are still working some bugs out during bottle conditioning, and 2 batches in primary. One needs to be bottled and the other has only been fermenting for 8 days. I hope and pray that I never run my lines dry.
 
I am still working on my pipeline and a system for keeping it full. So far I have been brewing every other week. But I still have to wait a week or so for the beer to carb once it's kegged which leaves me with one tap. I just bought a new corny and I am planning on naturally carbing so I can be ready to go faster. I have also been bottling a sixer (off the keg) or so of each batch so if I every run dry I have a couple of cases laying around. If not I like trying different commercial craft beers anyway. I usually buy 2 or 3 22oz beers every Friday to sample and get ideas for my next brew.
 
I always seem to run mine dry. But then I brew like a mad man and fill it up. Right now I've got 10g kegged, 5g bottled, and 20g in various stages of fermentation. And I constantly sample craft brews as well.
 
Just kicked my keg (I only have one so I always have a week or two between). I only have a few bottles of apfelwein aging, 4 bottles of bigfoot aging and 3 bottles of KBS aging. The last 3 six packs I've bought have tasted skunked, old or off in some way.

I hate life without homebrew! The sooner I get this Outer Limits IPA on tap that better. The hydro samples taste phenomenal.
 
I usually have too much on hand. My dad and I LOVE beer, but don't drink that many between the two of us. What really sticks, though, are the beers that came out so-so. They take forever to deplete.
 
And I have 4 batches ready to go, but I can't get my lazy bum to bottle the wicked barleywine in my keg. Once I do that, no more pipeline kinks for a while. Serves me right for using it to carbonate, but I really didn't want to do all that work and then no carbonation at the end.
 
For the first time ever I actually have a decent stock. Work has slowed done and I was getting killed this past summer / fall, so I have drinking much more homebrew, but I also have had the time to brew a lot more as well.

I have good quantities of Pale Ale, 2 IPA's and a wheat all ready to drink. A few bottles each of misc I am trying to save and another IPA and wheat ready to bottle.


Anyway, I like the Pale Ales and Wheats because they have a quick turnaround and you can drink a couple and not be crooked.
 
Yeah i'm always running out of ready to drink brew, and I let mine sit too long in secondary's a lot because i'm too lazy to clean and sanitize to rack em. Speaking of, might do that right now! I also have some so-so beers that sit in there forever like rhern053 mentions.
 
I doubt there is anyway I can ever have enough. I camp every weekend on the Ohio River with a large group of beer drinkers from May to October and all those bastages want to try my brew, and we drink a lot down there. I need more primarys for sure. I just finished my second brew and racked the first to a secondary after sitting for 2 weeks so I could have the primary. I think I need at least 2 more primarys to keep up and a crap ton more bottles. So far I love this hobby and I haven't even had one of my own beers yet.
