I haven't brewed in over 5 months due to the fact I live in the frozen tundra of WNY. However, in my downtime I've made significant upgrades to my gas fired 2 keggle / cooler mash setup (Chugger pump, camlock fittings, whirlpool arm, stainless brew table). Now...weather is warming and I'm anxious to create a New England style juicy IPA! How does this look? Malt bill OK? I've whirlpooled before but never this amount or using my new whirlpool arm. Is this too much as far as late additions? Wasteful? I want that Treehouse Julius / Foley Brothers Pieces of 8 Level of saturation. It's expensive, looking fwd to your thoughts. Thanks!

whats the batch size?

I think you might want to cut the honey malt in half, its pretty strong stuff. Id replace it with more sugar since this is getting to DIPA strength

Those IBUs for the whirlpool look way off. I would just negate them for additions below 180F.

I would cut the honey malt down to 4-6 ounces for sure. I assume the amount of acid malt is specific to pH calculations based on your water? Otherwise, I think the grain looks pretty good.

I like the hops you have, but the amount seems excessive to me for the kettle hops..... That is a tremendous amount of hops if we are talking a 5-6 gallon batch. I would take 1 ounce off of every addition going in at 1 minute and every addition going in the whirlpool. Dry hop looks good.

Thank you! Yes this is for a 5.5gal batch volume (7.74gal boil vol)

I had no idea the honey malt was so potent. I'm going to reduce it to 4oz and replace the lost OG with more base malt and dextrose. As far as the boil and whirlpool additions go- I will deduct an oz from each individual addition.

I can't wait to brew this! Thx again.
