I couldn't wait anymore, and chilled one. It came out nice and carbonated, hoppy and crisp. It could mellow a bit, but is as good as anything storebought. I am gonna call this one a success!

Cheers! :mug:

Go make another batch. Allow this one to age another 3 weeks and you'll be much happier you did.

Already am making a hefeweizen, and I was gonna let it sit a couple more at least. But I wanted to see how it aged along the way.

Tehchiro, are you by any chance an amatuer photographer. I'm impressed by the framing, composition, color, and lighting of your beer shot. The classiest of beer porn, seriously! :mug:

If your first batch tastes good, or even like beer then it's a success. I remember on my first batch i literally messed up the first step of the instructions (pour 2.5 gal of water into the brew kettle). I went in assuming i needed 5 gallons to make a batch of beer! My dad named that one miracle brew. It was a miracle it tasted like beer.

I actually encourage new brewers to try a beer after a week in the bottle. It gives them an idea of how the beer is progressing. It is interesting to note how the beer changes over time.

Yours looks nicely carbonated which is not too common at 1 week. Mine always take 3 weeks to be fully conditioned.

Nice job. :mug:

Thanks. I am very amateur in photography actually. Which is why I am thankful I have photoshop to come to my rescue most of the time. ;)

I plan on trying one of the small bottles every week to see just how it does. I was actually suprised by the carbonation, when I poured the head filled the glass before it was 1/2 full of beer.

I was pretty paranoid, and actually read the instrucions like 30 times probably. I am still kinda suprised it worked. :D
