My first partial mash brew will happen tomorrow. One question - After I put the grains in the grain bag, how do you seal it? Just tie a knot at the top?

Yup! Although...I skipped partial mash style brewing, went right from extract w/steeping grains straight to AG. I guess im confused on why are you using a bag with a partial mash?

If you are using a bag and steeping them...thinking that is a mash....use caution. A mash requires a "specific" water:grain ratio to achieve proper pH and consistency, amoung other things.

But like I said, I never did a partial mash, but dont see how a grain bag fits into it that well?

That is my fault in terminology. I am not doing a partial mash. I am just steeping the grains for 30 min. Noobie mistake!
