Just got done filling my first keg.... Probably got carried away with cleaning and sanitation but wanted to make sure it was ready. Only thing I know I did wrong is forgot to purge the air before I shook it up some. Oh well this one will probably go pretty quick watching the Super Bowl next Sunday. Don't have a kegerator yet but I plan to stick it in a bucket of ice Sunday morning. Beats the hell out of bottling....:mug:

how are you carbonating this keg? it sounds like you force carb'd (shaking).

you need the beer cold before you try to carb it up with CO2. warm beer holds less CO2. you'd be best off trying to get it cold now, carb it up, keep it cold, until superbowl party.

otherwise you're likely to dispense foamy, flat beer next week.

Since you are using a cobra tap, watch out for foaming or replace the line with 6 feet of 3/16th. Most party taps are short, so the tap doesn't end up in the dirt or get stepped on.
