While I would love to go nuts and build one for $1000 or more, my SWMBO demanded a cheap starter, as we are about to do some major home renovations. Found the freezer on CL for $75 in good condition. Used scrap framing lumber that has been in my garage for 5 years, and threw 4 coats of lacquer on. Went with the STC-1000 for it's cheapness. Had all the spare wire laying around, even a power cable I never used. Got 2 perlicks with the shanks for $53 each on sale. Third tap was from a party tap I had, so I just ordered a shank for it (eventually replaced with a Perlick). CO2 distributor for $34 on EBay. Had the tank and 2 regulators. My BroLo even had the foam board laying around from an old project. Took a couple days to get it all done, and I loved the simplicity if the STC-1000. Overall a fun little project and a good starter. I learned a few things for when it comes time to build a larger/nicer keezer. Pics to follow...

I like how you did the front panel mount of the Stc1000 with conduit to the back, very clean!

Thanks all!
Yeah, as far as the conduit goes... I wanted to keep the wiring clean and out of the way, for the most part. That PVC conduit, as well as the fittings, is really inexpensive. A 10 foot section of 1/2" pipe was $1.42!
