Greetings Cidermeisters,
I am sampling my first glass of this concoction-started 5 weeks ago with one gallon of Mussleman's and a quarter vial of White Labs liquid cider yeast. It just quit bubbling two days ago. There was almost no yeast cake left behind. It's not dry, nor sweet. I think I would like to mix this with a little cranberry next time. I am encouraged that it did not turn out to be drain cleaner-a good thing.

I made a Cran/apple cider about 8 months ago. It is sitting in secondary still. I have no idea how it will be, BUT I need to get it in a keg soon!

Just because it quits bubbling doesn't mean it is done. What is the SG? The SG will also give us an indication of how dry/sweet it is.

Actually, at 5 weeks... these things take time! It will be even better in 5 months!
