I normally keg but want to bottle part of a batch and keg the remainder. A friend suggested I just use carb tabs for the bottles. I have some tabs but they are several years old and seem to be a little off white. Do these go bad or should I be confident in using them?
I guess my other option is to make up a small batch of priming sugar and pull the beer to be bottled off of the main batch then add priming sugar.
I am aware that I could bottle it after it is carbed in the keg but don't really want to go to the trouble of building or buying a beer gun for one batch!
Thanks!
