OK, so I have seen many posts in the net regarding the bodine motor directly driving a grain mill. Not being able to find a motor at a reasonable price (to me anyway) I did find this:

IT IS MADE BY RELIANCE ELECTRIC. IT IS A 1/3 HP, 1725 RPM,115/230 VOLT,6.4/3.2 AMPS, 60Hz. IT IS A USED MOTOR BUT RUNS REALLY SMOOTH AND QUIET

Based upon the RPM, I assume I will need a belt to reduce that a bit. Is there any reason this motor would NOT work? If anyone has used a similar motor and can point me in the direction of parts I'd appreciate it!

Looks like a fine motor to me. Let us know where you are at. I can point you where to look in Canada, but I'm assuming you are in the US.

just outside of chicago, IL. US.

Thanks, just want to make sure it'll work before droppin the cash.
