Has anyone used Montrachet yeast to make hard cider? Will it work? Thanks for your input and advice.
 
I used it recently for the apfelwein recipe. Carbed half and left the other half still. Worked pretty nicely. Just as long as you know it won't be sweet unless you pasteurize or add something unfermentable. I personally like the dry stuff so I was pretty happy.
 
+1 for using it in Ed Wort's apfelwein. Works well I you like it dry.... I'll even start a new batch on the yeast cake of the previous batch.
