Hello all,
I'm new to the forum and I've just completed my first batch of buch.
Now onto bottling to get that fizz that I like...
I've done one original, one mixed berry puree and one with muddled mint leaves.
I let them sit on the counter sealed overnight and strained the mint leaves in the mint one first thing in the morning.
Another day on the counter and the mint one looks like it started to mold on the surface.
I've done some reading and heard that oily herbs can cause mold, but I've also read that many people use mint without issue.
Any suggestions? I'll most likely be throwing this mint batch out, but some feedback would be helpful as the mint was a definite favorite of mine!
*I don't have any clear photos as my camera wouldn't focus, but I'll try taking better photos when I get home*
