For my next batch I am contemplating buying maybe 2 kits, ordering some hops, steeping grains, and yeast separate. Here is what I was thinking... Cream Ale Extract, (using the grains with the kit), 1oz magnum hops, and 1oz cascade hops, and WLP090 San Diego Superstrain. What do you think? Anything else I should add or take away? A bitter Cream Ale... I think it would be either delicious or disgusting.. Probably wouldn't be much middle ground on this one.

While I can't give you an opinion on your recipe as I have never tried to brew a highly hopped cream ale what I can say is that buying extract kits and adding additions is a great way to expand your brewing skill set. Just make sure to properly plan your additions ahead of time.
