hi there,

does anyone know where i can buy empty mini kegs from?
i can buy full ones in the supermarkets but was wondering if there was somewhere i can buy empty ones?

Midwest sells them. For the price though, you might as well get them full of commercial beer.

Do guys actually use these for homebrew? The little I've read on it, makes it sound like a real pain in the rear.

I have 5 of them and use them pretty regularly in the summer. I find it very convenient to bring bevvies up north with me. I also have one of these (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Avanti-Portable-Mini-Keg-Pub/9194770) which removes a lot of the hassle with dispensing. Just add a paintball adaptor and a 20oz tank and you're good to go.

as long as you can clean them you ok, then they are perfect, great to put in a fridge and to serve from, im looking for the one with the tap at the bottom
