mesh bags cleaning/sanitization question

When using mesh bags with fruit, how do you prep before use? And clean after to ensure soap/cleaner is not absorbed into the mesh and throw tastes off?

When I used to use mesh bags for hops I just tossed them in the clothes washer with the next load...

I would boil the bag before use to disinfect and help remove any cleaning chemicals that might remain on the bag after cleaning.

It depends on what you use to clean. PBW needs a good rinse, one step or unscented oxi you can just let dry. I sanitize with boiling water, star San would also work before using.

Blast it with clean water to get everything off. Then hang to dry. Then use.

This particular thread is about using a mesh bag for fruit additions in the fermenter. Not a grain bag for mashing prior to boil.
