measuring mash temps...

Im going to do my first PM soon with one of the mini 3 gal water coolers that everyones been making lately.

What is the best way to monitor your temps? floating thermometer?What do you guys use?

I use a small electronic VOM for cars. $10, if you find them on sale. It reads in Celcius.

you can use the floater you probably already have but leave it in the mashtun during the mash. they read very slowly but that will get you started
