Measuring ABV

I was bottling up a batch yesterday and took a hydrometer reading to add to my notes and realized I didnt have a initial gravity reading to calculate ABV. Is there another way to calculate the percentage at this time.
 
Nope, not as a homebrewer. I did the same thing with my first batch. Now, most recipes and kits have an estimated OG, and if you measured the amounts carefully, you can probably go with that as an estimate and it will be pretty close. Unless your amounts are way off, the estimate that gives you shouldn't be off by more than 1% ABV or so.
 
You can get a rough idea from the recipe if you have beersmith or a similar software. It will give you a rough estimate of what it was supposed to be. If you don't have a software like that, post it up here and I will plug it in, and give you the estimate.
