A flat O-ring? I think that technically must have some other name. Are you talking about a flat washer or is this one of those seals that are a square piece of material formed into a circle.

Not quite a O-ring... maybe a square-ring!

Regardless, just do what any one selling seals will do and measure the old rings inner diameter and the thickness of the material.

Or if that is not available, measure those places where the seal sets. Digital calipers help. Even the cheapo $7.00 ones you can buy at Harbor Freight or other discount stores.
 
This diagram illustrates what the plunger inside a ball lock connector looks like. The plunger (ID SH-815) has a very tiny O-ring that might have a round cross section...or not. SH-817 is the flat plastic gasket that seals the cap...
