Anyone ever put down a Marble floor? I have 200sqft and looks like we are going to go with 12" tiles. Real Marble-
Kitchen dining room area

Any tips? Pros cons?

I put 1/2" hardibacker down on top of the 1/2" plywood. The floor feels pretty damn stiff. Thanks I will check that site out

Ok nevermind- Marble is apparently not good for high traffic areas. I thought it was much harder than it was.

Back to porcelain tiles! Its cool I wanted to do 18" tiles anyway

Mike -- how's the marble project going ... my wife and I laid 4000sf of 18" marble (actually travertine) in our new home. As for the durability -- check out the Colliseum
