My friend and I have 2 GALLONS of grade B maple syrup and we want to brew a five-gallon batch of brown ale using the maple syrup as the main fermentable. How will 2 gallons of syrup affect the brew?

Ingredients (exact amounts not yet decided):
Chocolate Malt
Crystal 60L
Fuggle Hops
Kent East Golding Hops
Wyeast 1028

Thanks, Any other suggestions?

2lbs of syrup is going to give you a very low ABV.
and its not beer if it has no malt.

what you want to do is brew a brown ale, and use the maple syrup as part of the fermentables. Like a 4lb can of LME and 2lbs of syrup and appropriate hops.
