What are suggestions on these two? I ordered the hopped malt extract thinking I won't have to add hops in later. Was I right?

Welcome to HBT! Generally, you don't want to post this kind of question in the announcements forum but in the beginner brewer's forum, perhaps. I'm sure a mod will move it soon enough, though, so no worries.

Hopped malt extract is a good place to start, but if you get into beer making you'll want to do your own hopping. It gives you more flexibility and control over your process.
