Hi all,

So, I'm planning to try and make some wine. I have a ton of fresh grapes, right off the vine...however not nearly enough to make my preferred 5 gallon batch.

So, here's my thoughts... I'm going to head home tonight, mash the grapes, strain just the juice, throw in some campden tablets and wait for 24 hours.

Then, I should be able to purchase juse Welch's 100% grape juice and top it off to 5 gallons, dissolve about 1 1/2lb of sugar, add that, mix and then pitch yeast correct?

Am I missing anything or any thoughts?

Dont just add sugar, measure your SG and use that as w baseline. Also, TA and pH should be measured with grapes. Both are important.
