O the local store had 1/2 gallons of apple juice for $1.... So i stocked up and made a batch today with what i had lying around.... For sits and giggles i diced some ripe apples and threw them in the juice before putting air lock on.... Good or bad decision? Seemed to perk that yeast up... Also added 1/4 cup of brown sugar and corn sugar after boiling.... Any thoughts? Dare i add yeast nutrient? Or more sugar later?
 
Forgot to mention this was just a .5 gal batch of cider. Very tiny batch to screw around with...
