Well no that's not exactly true...Hi there, I'm a Journeyman beekeeper who loves to make mead. I've been making mead for about 4-5 years now and entering into the state beekeepers honey contest. Unfortunately, while folks are really good at judging honey...they are a little weak and inconsistent with mead. They are a bit simple in categories and levels of tasting. But hey...we all live and learn. So, I'm also on a quest. Beside trying to find others who love the art of brewing (hey I'm outside of Asheville, NC) I'm also searching for people who make and love mead and might be willing to judge that portion of our state conference. And I'm looking to learn to judge mead as well.
