SO.....

I though I could get 5 gallons out, and ended up with ~4 due to equipment issues and improper judgement.

I racked 2.5 gallons in a small keg, all good there.

I boiled the correct amount of sugar for the other 2.5 gallons, which I was planning on bottling, but was only able to add 1.5 gallons to the mix. So instead of bottling, I used another 2.5 gallon keg and put some pressure in to seal real fast. My question is, should I let it sit a week or two, and purge, reseal, and see what happens? Obviously I have too much sugar in the mix, and I don't want 4.8 vol for a pale ale.

Ever happen to anyone? Should I do something I haven't thought of yet? Next steps? Just want to see what you all think, since it's been 5 years since I've natural carb'd a keg, and I definitely over did the sugar based on expected volume. Just trying to salvage another small bit of the batch is all.
