After spending a few days reading posts here (when I should have been working), I finally decided to stop procrastinating and start brewing!

I just pitched the yeast and put her (a True Brew Red Ale kit I got at my LHBS) to bed for a few weeks. All in all, everything went really smoothly for a first timer. I'd have to say that the hardest part was trying to hold onto a slippery carboy when rinsing it out. But other than that, everything went great and I can't wait for the next time!
